The voting system

The 2016 Auckland Council elections will be conducted by postal vote.

The voting period starts on Friday 16 September 2016 and closes at noon on Saturday 8 October 2016.

If you are enrolled to vote, your voting papers will be posted to you between Friday 16 September 2016 and Wednesday 21 September 2016.

Complete your voting form and send it back to the electoral officer using the pre-paid envelope provided.

You can also choose to hand-deliver your voting paper to one of our ballot boxes during the voting period.
